The Russians intend to learn from the experience of Kazakh colleagues in the construction of the transcontinental automotive corridor “Western Europe – Western China”.
Representatives of the two countries met in Aktobe to discuss the reconstruction of the border section of the route. The international automotive corridor will run through the Orenburg region. And the Russian side plans to start the reconstruction work of the connecting section from Aktobe to Orenburg next year. In the Aktyubinsk region, within the mega-project, 356 kilometers of the road have been repaired. According to experts’ calculations, the new autobahn “Western Europe – Western China” will shorten the delivery time of cargoes from China to Europe by almost three and a half times compared to the sea route.
Roman Starovoyt, head of the Federal Road Agency “Rosavtodor” – We are interested in the plot of the ground fault, we must turn it into asphalt concrete and proceed with the reconstruction of the existing road. We have chosen the technology of cold regeneration, which will allow us to accomplish the task at low cost and with high quality and speed. I think by the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019 we will have repaired the road so that it responses the normative requirements.
