In the near future, dredging will start in the port water area of 800 thousand m3 with the participation of the world leader in the dredging industry – the Belgian company Jan De Nul.
In the second half of August this year, the first consignment of steel structures for lifting and transitional three-section bridges for ferries will be supplied.

Construction of administrative and office buildings is under way.
In December 2016, it is planned to complete the construction of the facilities of the first launch complex. This will ensure the technical and technological readiness of the ferry complex to receive and send cargo through Kuryk port.
Construction of the facilities of the second start-up complex is planned for 2017.
The new ferry complex in Kuryk port will serve five ferries a day, thereby ensuring handling of cargo in the amount of 4 million tons per year.

A large-scale ferry line from Kuryk port and the Borzhakty-Yersay railway line will provide multimodal transportation of general and liquid cargo, which will significantly increase transit cargo traffic, increase export potential in the western direction through the Caspian Sea.
The object of the program “Nurly Zhol” – ferry complex in Kuryk port – will give a powerful impetus to the development of the transit and transport potential of Kazakhstan and facilitate the implementation of the New Silk Road project.
