The project includes reconstruction of the existing auto-road of the 2-3 category of republican significance «Astana-Karaganda-Balkhash-Kurty-Kapshagai-Almaty» section of the auto-road of republican subordinance «border of the Russian Federation (to Ekaterinburg) — Almaty» 2380 — 2152km being reconstructed under 1-B category.

The length of the section of the road in the existing conditions is 228 km.
