SA Construction Group LLP has been one of the most experienced and honored players in the construction market of the republic for about twenty years.
This multidiscipline company has long been successfully involved in the implementation of large projects of republican significance. The company has score of objects of varying significance. However, the most serious were those implemented under the state program “Nurly Zhol”.
It should be noted that today’s economic policy has been operating in Kazakhstan since 2014. Then in the next message to the Kazakhstan people Elbasy announced a new approach to its formation. The Nurly Zhol program was created to become the engine of growth of the Kazakh economy, a tool for achieving well-being and prosperity of all residents of the country, as well as a serious step to enter the top 30 most developed countries in the world. Later the program underwent some changes: the construction of housing was taken out into a separate branch. The main goals of Nurly Zhol were the following: the creation of an efficient transport and logistics infrastructure, the development of industrial, tourism and social infrastructure, as well as the strengthening of the energy sector.
The company SA Construction Group responded to the new idea among the first. For an experienced and ambitious construction organization, this was not only a new stage of development, but also a real matter of honor.
One of the new projects is the infrastructure of the special economic zone “Khorgos-Eastern Gate”, located in the Almaty region. The zone itself was opened in 2011 on the basis of the Khorgos International Center for Border Cooperation (ICBC). The territory of the zone is 5,740 hectares. The task of the SA Construction Group was to provide this zone with asphalt covering and the construction of a dry port. Employees of SA Construction Group carried out earthworks in the amount of 30 thousand cubic meters, laid asphalt concrete on an area of almost 69 thousand square meters and equipped 12.5 thousand square meters of pavement. At present, the special economic zone is an important transport, logistics and industrial center. This zone contributes to the export activities of Kazakhstan, ensures the realization of the country’s transit potential, as well as economic and cultural exchange with neighboring countries. All this allows integrating Kazakhstan products into the global production and marketing system, in a word, it has a very positive effect on the Kazakhstan economy.
In 2015, the SA Construction Group started construction of the second electrified railway tracks of Almaty 1 – Shu. The need for arranging a new branch arose from the fact that on the existing line the movement of trains became more and more intense.
In the course of this project, SA Construction Group employees built more than 110 kilometers of main tracks and built 92 engineering structures. Among them, 2 fly overs and 22 railway bridges. On the line Astana – Almaty, a significant amount of work was carried out on the modernization of the superstructure. After the construction was completed, it became possible to increase the capacity of the site more than three times – from 25 million to 80 million tons. In addition, the transit time of freight trains has halved. Thus, the new branch allowed to increase the speed of movement of passenger trains and to reduce the travel time of the high-speed train “Tulpar”. All these innovations have significantly increased the transit potential of the region.
Another work of SA Construction Group LLP is the Ferry complex installed in the Kuryk port in Mangystau. This is one of the main facilities supporting oil operations in the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea. The project was developed in accordance with the action plan for the development of coastal infrastructure and seaports. The feasibility study of the railway ferry complex was made by JSC “KazMorTransFlot”. Its general director, Marat Ormanov, is confident that the Kuryk port has good prospects and its potential can be used for the development of shipbuilding and ship repair facilities, ferry transportation.
The advantages of the coastal strip near the village of Kuryk are favorable climatic conditions: the bay does not freeze, there is sufficient depth and a favorable wind rose. In addition, distance from the city and the availability of free territory for construction are important, as this, if necessary, allows expanding production capacity. Remoteness from the city also allows you to pour a wide range of transported products, including dangerous goods. The ferry complex is focused on transshipment of grain, petroleum products, fertilizers, chemicals and other goods.
In general, we can safely say that the railway-ferry complex with a capacity of 4 million tons, which was built by SA Construction Group, has allowed to bring freight to neighboring states of the Caspian region to a new level and further to Europe. Thus, the Mangystau region becomes a big transport and logistics center, which unites air, auto, railway, and maritime transport networks.
In 2014, SA Construction Group became one of the few who was entrusted to participate in the reconstruction of the Center-South corridor. The project included the construction of roads of the total length of 1 291 km, connected settlements, Nur-Sultan, Karaganda, Balkhash, Kurty, Kapshagay, and Almaty.
SA Construction Group LLP reconstructed two sections – the Almaty-Kapchagai and Nur-Sultan-Karaganda highways. Both of these facilities are strategically important for the global development of the transport infrastructure of Kazakhstan. Construction began in August 2014. It was immediately decided to work using the most modern technologies. According to the standards of the first technical category, the builders used cement concrete pavement. It should be noted that this coating is characterized by simple content that does not require high material costs. However, it is famous for its durability, safety and environmental friendliness. Roads with such coverage can serve for years and do not require repair. After the completion of the reconstruction, the Almaty-Kapchagai section was transferred to 6-lane traffic.
The project to create a multi-model Eurasian transcontinental corridor was implemented in order to integrate Kazakhstan into international transport and communication flows. This corridor provides uninterrupted transit of goods from Asia to Europe, the cost of delivery is more than 2 times. In addition, it is expected that the attraction of additional cargo flows on Kazakhstan routes will increase transit traffic by all types of transport from 18 million tons in early 2016 to 33 million tons in 2020 and 50 million tons in 2030. Until 2021, the volume of container traffic will increase to 500 thousand tons.
Thus, due to the Nurly Zhol program, the SA Construction Group LLP company takes an active part in the economic development not only of the Atyrau region but also of the whole Kazakhstan. The huge potential of our construction company, the advanced training of workers and modern approaches of construction allows us to speak with pride about our past successes and look to the future with confidence.
