On June 3-5, the Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan on kung fu under the leadership of the President of the Association, Abzhanov Medet, held the First Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan among men and women.
On June 3 at 12:00, a press conference was held with the participation of invited media outlets, where it was possible to learn in detail about the young organization, candidates for the national team and plans for the future. Over one hundred athletes from all regions of Kazakhstan came to the competitions to fight for the title of the First Champion of the country.
President of the Association, Abzhanov Medet says: The Association was established in September last year, but the prerequisites for its creation began to be formed more than five years ago. The Kung Fu Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a recognized member of the International Kung Fu Association (China), which includes regional representations in all areas of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Our trainers have accumulated a wealth of experience in training fighters for participation in international competitions and this Championship will allow us to determine the composition of the national team for participation in the World Championship. I am very grateful to Aliyev Givergis Supiyanovich, the head of the SA Construction Group company, for his sincere support in the holding of the Kazakhstan Championship, as well as his huge contribution to the development of kung fu in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This is our first Kung Fu Championship in Kazakhstan. More than a hundred fighters throughout Kazakhstan came to the championship, the overall situation is tense, the teams are determined to fight to the end, but still, not everyone understands how important this day is for every participant of the event and the Association as a whole. What spirit, what energy and what starting level the athletes will show in their battles, how much coaches can inspire them to fight for the victory, despite the pain and failure, and the lack of real experience. All this will determine the future of our Association. However, we, like our athletes, clearly understand the goal and the possibilities of achieving it, and like any young organization, we have enough patience, faith and strength for hard work, since this is the only way to achieve high results.
Chairman of the Kung-Fu Discipline “Fighting” Committee in the International Federation of Kung Fu (China), the owner of the 7th Dan in Kung Fu, Rabadanov Magomedkamil Nabiyevich, honorary guest of the First Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted the good preparedness of the athletes, as well as the potentially talented fighters whose only lack of competitive experience does not allow to technically realize their power by 100%. Magomedkamil Nabiyevich held a familiarization seminar on the peculiarities of holding kung fu competitions, and also shared his experience with Kazakhstan’s trainers and representatives.
The Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan is an event that laid the first fundamental brick at the base of the great sports future of the highest achievements in kung fu. – said Aidar Kutyshev, head coach of the Association. For today, our task is to assemble a new generation of Kung fu fighters in the Association, to invest our experience and knowledge in them, to instill faith and hone their skills. We are preparing for the World Championship, which will be held in Moscow in July, we need victories and we need the title of World Champion in kung fu.
